For-Profit Small Business Grant Request for Proposal

Description of the Grant

WSU intends to distribute $500,000 in grants to West Side for-profit businesses that seek to grow their businesses and strengthen their communities. WSU, JP Morgan Chase, and Northern Trust are providing the funds. Accion Chicago is serving as the fiscal agent for the program. Businesses are eligible to apply for between $1,000 and $30,000. Applications will be accepted September 9, 2019, though October 31, 2019.

How to Apply

Eligible businesses are encouraged to apply for between $1,000 and $30,000 via the online application.  A Spanish version of the application is also available. Paper copies are also available at The Hatchery (135 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60612). Applications will be accepted September 9, 2019, through October 31, 2019.

It is recommended applicants review the application questions (also available in Spanish) prior to completing the application as the application will need to be completed in one sitting.

WSU is working with local partners to host seven informational sessions for applicants. Please RSVP for the information sessions.
