West Side United presents our 5th annual Community Convening, “Where Do We Go From Here?” This event will reflect on the progress we’ve made during the first 365 days of our 1,000 day commitment to the West Side of Chicago.

The event features 3 main components that will help us convey our progress.
- A video montage featuring Mayor Lightfoot and other stakeholders reflecting on our resilience and contributions over the past 365 days.
- A progress report from WSU’s Senior Leadership Team highlighting our programs, grantees, partnerships and funders.
- A panel discussion, “Women Leading the Movement for Racial & Health Equity in Chicago & Across the Nation.” honoring Women’s History Month. Moderated by WSU Executive Director Ayesha Jaco and featuring Monique Carswell, Director, Walmart Center for Health Equity, Diana Derige, Director of Health Equity & Strategy Development, American Medical Association, Tawa Mitchell, Senior Program Officer, MacArthur Foundation, and Michelle Morales, CEO Woods Fund.
