Cook County Health Community Forum on Trauma & Stop the Bleed® Training

Learn About the Health System’s History, Role & Research Around Violence

Cook County Health opened the first comprehensive trauma unit in the country in 1966. It was designed to provide the highest levels of care to the most injured patients.

Come to one of our upcoming community forums to learn more about our trauma unit and to meet the trauma team.

Our clinical staff will also be holding a Stop the Bleed® course to teach the public how they can stop a person from bleeding before emergency services arrive. This basic bleeding control course provides participants with the necessary tools that can make the difference between life and death.
