Hi,
This year, the Teen Health Council from Mikva Challenge is partnering with the Chicago Department of Public Health and CPS to plan a self-care themed health service pop-up for the North Lawndale and Humboldt Park neighborhoods. This one day pop-up is aimed to youth and their families, and services provided are slated to include STI Testing, physicals, mental health resources, immunizations, dental health resources, vision exams, Medicare/Medicaid sign ups and nutrition workshops. We will be looking to also partner with local businesses to provide fun activities and giveaways for participants in addition to the services. The intention is to insure that youth and their families receive health services at the pop up and are also able to learn about how to continue to receive services after the pop-up is over. The dates for this event are March 23rd at the Humboldt Park Field house and March 30th from 10-2pm at Franklin Park on 15th st in Lawndale.
I’m emailing to see if someone from your organization would be interested in talking about this event further and see how we can collaborate to make this event a success for the west side of the city.
Thank you,
Chelsea
